Yawning At History
Life as a historian cannot be any more boring than it already is. Ask any student in school and you will get the unanimous yawn as soon as I say ‘history’. I used to be one of those students. In college I joined a club called Asian Heritage mostly to meet girls. I know it sounds pathetic but there are some guys who even join sororities to meet the fairer sex. While I was in that club I became fascinated by the dedication of the members and history of the Far East became my ultimate fascination. I spent a lot of my free time to check out the facts and figures of Japan to Indonesia and from Pakistan to Bangladesh. Now I am a history professor all because I wanted to meet girls.
